Featuring a legendary score by Leonard Bernstein, "Candide" is perhaps the most oft revived of the classic cult musicals. Part sophisticated operetta, part wacky screwball comedy with shades of Monty Python, this funny, irreverent satire is the perfect musical expression of Voltaire's tongue-in-cheek send-up of optimistic philosophies.

In one lightning-paced act, the hapless Candide is expelled from home, drafted into the Bulgarian army, brought before the Spanish Inquisition, swindled out of a fortune, shipwrecked on a desert isle, and separated time and again from his true love Cunegonde. Through it all, Candide remembers the lesson of his dear master Dr. Pangloss: that "everything is for the best in this best of all possible worlds."

'Brian Dunham shows a particular gift for the show's quiet and touching numbers and is able to creat an almost palpable wistfulness during some of the songs. ... keeps the audience engaged; provides a pleasant diversion for those seeking theatrical pleasures in Provincetown'  Stagebuzz
BUY TICKETS TO SONGS FROM AN UNMADE BED
One lyricist and 18 composers join forces to create a unique music/theatre event in
Songs from an Unmade Bed.  This solo work propels a smart, resilient, wry, and ultimately romantic gay New Yorker through the heartaches and triumphs of love in the big city. Each song is the work of a different composer, each one has its own style, sound, and mood. The final result is breathtaking.  Mr. Campbell's lyrics on the endlessly surprising experience of urban romance have been set by an eclectic roster of today's musical artists, including Debra Barsha, Mark Bennett, Peter Foley, Jenny Giering, Peter Golub, Jake Heggie, Stephen Hoffman, Lance Horne, Gihieh Lee, Steven Lutvak, Steve Marzullo, Brendan Milburn, Chris Miller, Greg Pliska, Duncan Sheik, Kim D. Sherman, Jeffrey Stock, and Joseph Thalken.

Brian Dunham (Take Me Out; Working; World Premier;Insatiable Hunger for Counter Productions) performs this funny, sexy, elegiac, ironic work. Boston roles have included Jim Glass Menagerie, Serge Stubin The Food Chain, Dasher in the Eight Reindeer Monologues, Skeeter in Schmolotics and Shepard Henderson in Bell Book and Candle.
