Counter Productions is a non-profit 501 (C) (3) community based performing arts organization with a commitment to cultivating and supporting our thriving community of theatre artists and audiences.
Since Provincetown Counter Productions' inception in the summer of 2007, and 25 productions later, we have maintained our dedication to our community and fulfilled what we set out to do: To bring a strong theatre ensemble to Provincetown. Over 50 theatre artists have performed and designed regularly in Counter's work, bringing high production quality shows to Provincetown residents year round. Each of the theatre pieces chosen has been in keeping with what we feel our audiences will experience as true theatre.
Work that tells the stories of all of us.
We've had an exciting year in many ways. Our search for performance space first led us to Wellfeet Harbor Actors Theatre, who so graciously gave us the opportunity to present our winter season. Now we are very happy to announce we have secured a home for the next three years and where, at the moment, transformation into a year round performance space/studio is in the works. The space is located in Whalers Wharf on Commercial St in Provincetown! We are looking forward to seeing the kinds of work we can produce there and looking forward to presenting continued quality theatre with many talented artists.
